Available face-to-face or online, NZOQ Internal Auditor training offers a comprehensive programme that provides participants with the knowledge and skills required to conduct effective internal quality management systems audits for their organisations.

Internal audits are a fundamental requirement in maintaining a quality management system. Auditing is highly effective and every business should use it in the pursuit of continuous improvement. Our programme, established in 1985 and accredited in 1989, has international recognition and is consistently updated to meet evolving standards.

Participants will experience an active learning environment designed to expand their abilities in conducting internal audits and interpreting management systems standards. They will acquire skills to initiate audits, prepare and conduct audit activities, compile and distribute audit reports, and carry out follow-up activities.

Frequently asked questions

What are the prerequisites?

There is no prerequisite for attendance. However, the course is intended for persons who are familiar with the basic concepts of quality management systems and who have had some involvement with the quality management system of their organisation.

What is included in the training rate?

Tuition and a full set of course notes are included in the training rate. For face-to-face training, catering (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea) is also provided.

What is the cancellation policy?

A cancellation fee of 20% applies for all cancellations made two weeks prior to the course dates and a cancellation fee of 60% applies for cancellations made after this. Substitutions may be made at any time.

As part of our delivery options, we are pleased to offer OLIA+ interactive online training—providing you with additional support to advance your career and help your organisation on its road to improvement.
Learn without limits

Online Internal Auditor training (OLIA+) uses online learning to equip you with the knowledge and skills to conduct well-structured and comprehensive integrated internal audits, assisting you make improvements within your organisation.

Upon completion, you can work towards achieving certification as a Certified Quality Internal Auditor. OLIA+ can also be credited towards the Diploma in Quality Assurance.

At your own pace

Online learning can be challenging when you feel isolated, lack face-to-face interaction, and are unsure if you are 'on the right track'. OLIA+ addresses this with mentoring from expert tutors, live online meetings, and ongoing support.

Training sessions are recorded for your future reference. You will receive our 80-page training manual and access to videos, worksheets, examples, and 12 months of support.

In your own space

OLIA+ is delivered through prepared video instruction and four two-hour live online meetings over a two-week period. To ensure you get the learning support you specifically need, numbers are strictly limited in these interactive sessions.

Up to two hours of additional work is required in the form of practical exercises. These activities will help you apply what you have learned directly to your own organisation.
